MAD

During the roughly half-century of the Cold War, it was generally accepted that both the Soviet Union and the United States possessed enough nuclear weapons to destroy each other many times over. This state of equilibrium was nicknamed “MAD” for Mutually Assured Destruction. The idea that each superpower was prepared to wipe out the entire civilian population of the other was widely criticized as immoral, but we must recognize that it succeeded in preventing nuclear war or any other major conflict between these nations.

Volumes have been written on the concept of just war, and what is and is not moral in a conflict of national survival. The fact is, you must be willing to match the tactics of your enemy or you will lose. If the enemy bombs your civilians, you must be prepared to bomb his. If the enemy uses nukes or biological warfare, you must be prepared to do the same. If you are prepared to do so, there is a chance that the enemy will exercise restraint. If you are not prepared to retaliate, your enemy will attack and you will lose.

I hate to frame it this way, but we are in a war now for the survival of our free nation with an enemy that has no scruples, no compunctions and accepts no definition of good and evil except that whatever furthers their ends is good, and whatever (or whoever) stands in their way is evil. If you haven’t figured it out by now, the enemies of American freedom will do literally anything to gain power and keep it. I’m not going to put an exhaustive list here, but over the last four years we have personally witnessed the atrocious lengths to which the Democrats will go in order to get Donald Trump out of the White House and prevent him from eroding their permanent power base in Washington. We have lived through a four-year coup d’état that included weaponizing the nation’s intelligence services and justice department, unprecedented manipulation of the supposedly free press, secret and fraudulent congressional investigations culminating in a bogus impeachment, violent riots across the nation that cost millions of dollars and many human lives, and election fraud on a massive scale. All of this leading now to in an unprecedented attempt to not just defeat their political enemy, but to destroy him personally in every way possible.

And not him only, but the politics of personal destruction also apply to anyone who worked in the Trump Administration and now anyone who dared to support Donald Trump. A bevvy of major corporations have now announced that they will make no more political contributions to PACs that support Republican senators and house members who dared to challenge Biden’s electoral votes. We are watching as those in Congress who recognized that the 2020 election was stolen are systematically silenced, marginalized and, if possible, forced into some kind of personal exile where they are cut off from public life, blacklisted and put on a political “no-fly” list. The 78 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump will be next if the Democrats can just figure out a way to herd us all into cattle cars and haul us off to social reeducation camps.

This is what the Democrats, leftists, progressives and statists do. It doesn’t bother them to destroy the lives of their political enemies, because it works, and that is all that matters. Harass, silence, cancel enough conservatives and many of them will begin to choose discretion, the better part of valor. The rest of the American people will get the message as well.

The point of this post is that, as repugnant and repulsive as it may be, conservatives and Republicans are going to have to start playing this vicious game. Democrats can destroy the personal lives of individuals for non-existent crimes and never fear retribution for their misdeeds because we don’t do that. Big businesses can virtue signal by attacking Republican lawmakers all they want and there is no down-side because no one on the right will ever suggest a boycott or anything like it. It’s as if Germany began bombing civilians in London and Churchill refused to allow the RAF to bomb civilians in Berlin. The British could have felt very righteous and moral about it while Hitler was moving into Buckingham Palace.

That’s not what WE do, but unless we learn to retaliate in kind, what we will certainly do is continue to lose until we have lost our nation, our liberty and our lives.

Here’s my first suggestion: should the Republicans somehow keep the Democrats from institutionalizing their “most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics”and retake the House in two years, their first item of business should be to impeach Joe Biden (or Kamala Harris if she has managed to shove him out of the way by then). Any reason, no reason, it doesn’t matter. Impeach the Democratic president, and make sure that he/she gets exactly the same fair treatment and due process that Donald Trump received at the hands of the Democrats.

The Democrats have set the rules for this game. (No rules.) Republicans had better get in the game.
